Human Action: A Treatise on Economics
This major work by Ludwig von Mises is easily my favorite work on economics. When I first read it, I had to make a determination to read a certain number of pages a day. After that, I simply went back to selected portions. It is tough reading, and requires concentration, but I consider it worth it. The subtitle "A Treatise on Economics" is somewhat misleading as the book delves into many of the areas of philosophy behind the work. The title itself is really more accurate.
