Braun, Lillian Jackson. The Cat Who Had 14 Tales. New York: Jove Books, 1988.
ISBN: 0515094978.

I'm a bit of a pushover for any stories involving cats, and I'm also a fan of Ms. Braun's "Cat Who" series, so it was no surprise that when I found this book in the library, I immediately checked it out.

It wasn't part of the "Cat Who" series. It had no Jim Qwilleran (with a 'w'). But it did have a number of loveable Siamese and other varieties of cats.

What this is, in fact, is a collection of 14 tales (surprise!) involving cats and generally some kind of mystery. The copyrights date back into the sixties, and I had read a couple of the stories before, though I can no longer remember where, but all in all it is an enchanting collection. It made good bedtime reading for me.

I didn't find it as much fun as Qwilleran and his fine felines, but that would likely be a bit much to ask! This is a good book to pick up at your public library, or you can choose the link above to purchase it through Amazon.com.
